Understanding Lodgment Status and Filters

  1. When a payslip is created for an employee, it can be in one among the 6 lodgment status. The following are the primary lodgment status- not lodged, published and lodged

  2. If, for some reason the lodged payslip needs to be edited, the following lodgment status will be associated to that payslip namely Updated, Re-published and amended.
  3. When the lodgment status of a payslip says "Not lodged", it means that the payslip must the published via "Prepare STP" and then lodged.

  4. If the payslip’s lodgment status says "Published", the corresponding payslip is already prepared and can be found under My Lodgments -> Saved Reports. You can open the report, click on Edit and lodge it from there.

  5. If you notice that the lodgment status of a payslip says "Lodged", it means that the payslip has been lodged already and can be found under My Lodgments -> History.

  6. There are occasions when a fix or an amendment happens after a lodgment is made. You can edit a lodged payslip, make some changes and re-lodge it. When you edit a payslips that has been already lodged, the lodgment status changes to "Updated".

  7. If you prepare the payslip that has the lodgment status as "Updated", the status changes to "Re-Published"

  8. If you lodge the payslip that has the lodgment status as "Re-Published", the payslip will have the lodgment status as "Amended". Thus looking at the lodgment status, you can understand in which stage of lodgment a payslip is in and also whether an amendment has been made or not.

  9. Filter option in the Pay run screen can be used to swiftly locate a particular payslip

  10. You can filter the details in lodgment history, saved reports, Pay run, Employees, etc
  11. Select the appropriate Search screen in the drop-down. The search criteria changes based on the screen selected.

  12. For example, you can select Pay run page, search the payslip of an Employee along with the lodgement status "Lodged", to quickly get to know whether that particular payslip has been lodged.

  13. Hence filter option can be used on any screen and on the appropriate search criteria.
